Get involved

Everyone is aware that there is a lot of ‘talk’ about climate change.  The Transition Towns Movement is one attempt to turn that talk into action – In your town, in our town,  Romsey.
This is a grass roots movement that starts in the home and there is much you can do to answer that important question above.
If you would like to be involved directly with Transition Town Romsey then please do  get in touch.
Or – Get involved in one of the interests listed or specific project.
Or come to an event organised by Transition Town Romsey.

Social Media Support

We're currently in need of a volunteer to help keep our Facebook page up to date. If you think that could be you, please contact us for details.

Veggie Station

Why not join in with the Community Veg patch at Romsey Station?  Free veg to all helpers.  Please  contact us
if you are interested.

Whitenap Community Orchard

We welcome anyone who would like to join our working parties, pruning weeding, mulching and generally maintaining the Orchard.
We would also like the orchard to be used for events, educational project or anything else you can think of.   Please  contact us
if you are interested or check the events page for the next working party date.

Recycle

These days there is not a lot that can't be recycled, find out more by visiting Recycle For Hampshire's web site.

Publicity

For all of the activities we run, we need help with publicity - so people know what we're doing and can join in! Could you:
  • Put up a poster - at work, in your car, in your front window etc.
  • Send an email about events to all your friends on your email list.
  • Publicise it on Facebook/Twitter or any other forums you belong to. Don't forget to 'Like' us on Facebook - click the link on the Home page.
  • Talk about it to friends and family - word-of-mouth is usually the best way!
  • Write a letter to the Romsey Advertiser.
  • Anything else you can think of....
If you are particularly keen - we would love someone to co-ordinate publicity to make it more systematic, thorough, creative and fun!  Perhaps you'd be willing to write interesting press releases for the local paper? Please contact us  or come to our next meeting .
